Zack Higbie

Founder & Chief Executive officer

Zack Higbie serves as Managing Partner and CEO of Helix Advisory, cofounding the company after a 14-year career in healthcare finance and revenue cycle, having spanned the vendor operations, strategy consulting, managed care negotiations, IT implementation, and analytics functions in support of over 200 different hospitals and 4,100 physicians in 28 states. He has a mix of for-profit and not-for-profit experience, having led parts of revenue cycle integrations for large for-profit and non-profit mergers, a for-profit acquisition of a non-profit health system, and a PE-back merging of an urgent care system and large physician practice, inclusive of numerous system conversions across EMRs, EHRs, and clearinghouses. Zack also had the experience of building and leading the clinical appeals, denial prevention, and full-outsource revenue recovery service-lines (including contract modeling, external review, and multiple other nuanced functions) for one of the largest revenue cycle business process outsource vendors in the US. He has led revenue cycle at executive levels for a mix of acute and ambulatory organizations and has a particular passion for margin-building activities like automation, workflow optimization, and revenue recovery since his origins in the space as an underpayment auditor.
